Our hand built log home was constructed from two restored 1800s tobacco barns combined with hand hewn logs. The foundation, chimney, and fireplace were crafted from limestone rocks gathered by us from the surrounding land. Cypress wood extracted from the vinegar vats at the National Fruit Apple Plant in Winchester, Virginia were used to create the stunning hardwood floors.
In the family great room enjoy a roaring fireplace while relaxing on the comfortable couches. You can enjoy a movie or sports channel on the flat screen television. The great room is adorned by various antiques. One of the couches pulls out into a bed if you have extra guests.
The kitchen is a work of art featuring rustic handmade cabinets and memorabilia of our family and friends. It is stocked with plenty of dishware and cooking accessories. It is a full kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and coffee maker.
The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen which makes for easy entertaining. You can dine while watching the sunset through the large windows which face the pastures and the mountains to the west.
